PILAU WITH YOG[H]URT SAUCE

Pilau
->1 cup rice
->2 cups of water
->3 tablespoons sunflower/olive oil
->mixed spices (cardamon,cloves,cumin seeds)
->salt
In a wok/sufuria,heat mixed spices over low heat.
Add onions and saute until brown.
Add two cups of water and bring the mixture to boil over high heat.
Add your rice.
Reduce the heat to low,cover the mixture for about 20 minutes or until the rice is tender & liquid is absorbed.
Yog(h)urt Sauce
->plain yoghurt
->pinch of salt & sugar
->apple cider vinegar (optional)
->sesame seeds
In a wok or large frying pan,heat sesame seeds over moderate until browned,stirring constantly.
In a small bowl,mix sugar,salt,apple cider vinegar,sesame seeds & yogurt.Cover and refrigerate your sauce until ready to serve.

Yes i did thanks.when you try it out please share a pic.you can also try vegetable biryani.
ReplyDeletePre-boil rice,then stir fry vegetables.add the boiled rice to your veges & voila another rice dish.
Haa maam i'm loving these new tips, okay. okay im not a huge fan of vegetables, what do you suggest I mix instead, for the stir fry? hehe :)
